The Closed National Children’s DanceSport Competition – Solo (Under 10) is a specially designed national class, open exclusively to solo dancers from Norway aged 6 to 10. Created to inspire joy, learning and self-confidence, this class introduces young dancers to the fundamentals and excitement of DanceSport in a safe, supportive and educational environment.
Freedom of Dance – Standard and Latin
Solo dancers may perform any or all of the eight Standard and Latin dances of their choice, allowing each child to express individuality, musicality and enjoyment of movement. This flexible format encourages creativity, exploration and personal development—without pressure, rankings or comparison.
International Expertise, Child-Focused Evaluation
Each solo dancer is evaluated by a panel of internationally recognised adjudicators, bringing professional insight and global DanceSport experience to a national children’s class. The evaluation is based on three clear, age-appropriate criteria:

Confidential Feedback for Learning and Development
Education is at the heart of this class. Each dancer’s teacher receives a confidential written evaluation, offering constructive guidance on strengths and areas for development. These evaluations are not published, ensuring a secure and nurturing learning environment where progress and enjoyment take priority over results.
