Flexible, Accessible and Competitive DanceSport for Adults
The Nordic DanceSport League – Adult Level 1 is a modern and inclusive DanceSport series designed for adult couples aged 18 and over who want to compete in a flexible, motivating and accessible competition format. Open to participants across the Nordic region and beyond, Level 1 offers an ideal entry point into competitive DanceSport for adult dancers.
Part of the Nordic DanceSport League, this level focuses on participation, development and enjoyment—while still delivering a structured and professionally organised competitive experience.
One Dance at a Time – Maximum Flexibility
Adult Level 1 is a one-dance competition format, where each dance is a stand-alone competition. Couples may choose to compete in any number of the eight Standard and Latin dances, based on preference, ability and ambition:

Jive
There is no combined overall result—each dance is judged and awarded independently. This allows couples to focus on the dances they enjoy most and progress at their own pace.
Designed for Adult Dancers
Level 1 is specifically created for adult dancers who may be new to competition, returning to DanceSport, or looking for a low-threshold competitive environment. The format reduces pressure while still offering clear structure, fair judging and an authentic DanceSport experience.
