One-Dance Competitions in Standard and Latin
The Nordic DanceSport League – Junior Couples Level 1 is an exciting and accessible entry point into competitive DanceSport for Junior couples across the Nordic region. Designed to encourage participation, development and confidence, this level provides a structured yet flexible competition format tailored to young dancers building their experience on the dance floor.
As part of the Nordic DanceSport League, Junior Level 1 supports the next generation of DanceSport athletes through clear progression pathways and professionally organised events.
One-Dance Competition Format – Maximum Flexibility
Junior Couples Level 1 follows a one-dance competition format, where each dance is judged as a stand-alone event. Couples may choose to compete in any of the eight Standard and Latin dances, depending on their strengths and readiness:

Slow Foxtrot

There is no combined overall result, allowing couples to focus on individual dances and develop step by step.
