

Inclusive One-Dance Competition in Standard and Latin
The Nordic DanceSport League – Para-DanceSport Level 2 is an inclusive and empowering competition category designed to celebrate ability, musicality and individual expression within DanceSport. This level offers a one-dance competition format, creating a flexible and accessible platform for Para-DanceSport athletes across the Nordic region.
As part of the Nordic DanceSport League, Para-DanceSport Level 2 reflects the league’s commitment to inclusion, diversity and equal competitive opportunities.
Two Classes – Inclusive Competitive Structure
Para-DanceSport Level 2 is organised into two separate classes:
Cognitive dancers
Cognitive dancers in wheelchairs
Each class competes within a supportive and professionally structured environment, ensuring fair evaluation and meaningful competition.
One-Dance Format – Freedom to Choose
This category follows a one-dance competition format, where each dance is judged independently. Dancers may choose to compete in any of the eight Standard and Latin dances:
Standard dances
Waltz
Tango
Slow Foxtrot
Quickstep
Latin dances
Samba
Cha-Cha-Cha
Rumba
Jive
Each dance is evaluated separately, allowing athletes to focus on individual strengths and progress at their own pace.

All performances are evaluated by dance, ensuring that each entry is assessed independently based on musicality, movement quality and performance appropriate to the discipline. This structure provides clarity, fairness and motivation for continued development.
