The Nordic DanceSport League – Senior I Couples Level 1 is an inclusive and welcoming DanceSport competition designed for adult Senior I couples who are entering competitive DanceSport or returning after a break. This entry-level category focuses on enjoyment, learning and steady progression in a supportive and professionally organised environment.
As part of the Nordic DanceSport League, Senior I Level 1 offers a flexible and modern competition format tailored to adult dancers who value quality, clarity and confidence on the dance floor.
One Dance at a Time – Total Flexibility
Senior I Couples Level 1 is a one-dance competition format, where each dance is judged as a stand-alone competition. Couples may choose to compete in any number of the eight Standard and Latin dances, depending on preference and readiness:

Slow Foxtrot
Quickstep
Latin dances
Samba
Cha-Cha-Cha
Rumba
Jive
There is no combined overall result. Each dance is evaluated independently, allowing couples to focus on individual dances and progress at their own pace.
